Detailed Job Description:

The primary ask is for a System Admin profile with strong Troubleshooting skills and provide infra support ( JVMs, Nodes, clusters, reboot, logs, trace, heap, memory, cpu, throughput etc.). Pega admin support can be learnt during the course of the job

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the administration and development teams to ensure that designs effectively accommodate long-term maintainability, supportability, robustness, and scalability of software solutions
  • Keep abreast of patches including minor and major version releases
  • Evaluating merits and risks of upgrades; coordinating with appropriate staff to execute patches to deployed applications; monitoring day-to-day operational health of deployed applications
  • Responsible for maintaining operational health of PEGA PRPC application
  • Responsible for updating appropriate system admin level documentation and knowledge base documentation
  • Advise development team on performance improving solutions
  • Conduct DR drills on a scheduled basis (most important one)

Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration and Analysis (Key ask from client)
  • Strong experience in the Analysis and Tuning of RDBMS (SQL Server)
  • Strong JVM experience (primarily to setup and work with Linux Azure) (Key ask from client)
  • Good understanding of working and deploying on Linux/Azure platform
  • Demonstrated experience in PEGA PRPC Administration 8.X version
  • Pega security and certification management/installation (Key ask from client)
  • Knowledge of source control specifically via Azure DevOps (Key ask from client)
  • Experience with application/platform performance monitoring tools such as PAL, PMI, PDC ( Pega Diagnostic Cloud (PDC) exp. - Key ask from client)
  • Experience in PEGA Admin Windows, MQ Linux, MSSQL, Command line
  • Web application experience in Tomcat App Server
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills at Infra level ( JVMs, Nodes, clusters, reboot, logs, trace, heap, memory, cpu, throughput etc.) Key ask from client
