Project: Remedy-7 Global Implementation:
Client: Confidential,San Jose, CA

Role: Senior Business Analyst MAY. ‘09 – Present

The project involved change management of Cisco’s old Case Management tool to Remedy’s ITIL compliant latest version of Case Management tool. This included analyzing large volume of data, formulating the process, facilitating and interacting with stakeholders to upgrade from their existing tool. My Contributions were:

  • Key role in migration to Remedy 7 to formulate and implement a sane migration strategy for all stakeholders; Analyzing existing foundation data to understand the feasibility, scalability and risks of data migration.
  • Contributed in establishing business processes; developed Use Case models, Data flow diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Presentations, FAQs and data templates required for migration activity.
  • Worked closely with stakeholders across different Business Units around the globe in the organization to communicate the features/benefits of new system and get their buy-in for migration.
  • Gained practical administration experience on Remedy 7 tool to provide necessary support to the stakeholders in transforming their old data in Remedy 7 compatible format.

Project: Marlin - Argent to End-State conversion

Role: Business Analyst APR. ‘07 – MAR. ‘09

This project aimed at conversion of applications used in Investor Bank and Trust (IBT) to comply with State Street standards. This includes the conversion of jobs that handle automated generation and transfer of trade files to multiple clients. Existing Argent and Informatica jobs were converted and optimized to Autosys and DataStage jobs. My contributions include:

  • Expertise in creating Business Domain Model, interviewing SME (Subject Matter Experts) and requirement elicitation.
  • Worked extensively with State Street Business owners to understand the current process and to provide strategies to optimize automation using Autosys and Datastage.
  • Led a team in designing the solution using Autosys/UNIX/PERL on Solaris platform and validating the design with Business owners.
  • Configured XML based file transfer management using Adapters (State Street\'s proprietary tool for file transfer)
  • Designed and developed use cases, activity diagrams and sequence diagrams.

Confidential,was re-engineering its identity management framework on its suite of Medicaid management to comply with Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) standards. The new product "the ENTERPRISE system" was built as a customizable Medicaid system based on requirements of different states in USA. My contributions included:

  • Interacted with ACS Business stakeholders to identify requirements on Provider Enrollment/Maintenance and ARS/Claims; documenting the use cases.
  • Identified security requirements for user and access management; developed Use cases.
  • Designed security policies based on different roles including session time outs, single sign-on, delegation, and Single user multiple session management.
  • Developed test plans, test conditions, test cases and test scripts to be used in testing based on business requirements

This project was about implementing an Identity Management System across all Weyerhaeuser businesses to centralize the management of digital identities and resources. This was done to integrate Netegrity’s eProvision product suite with custom-built applications to completely realize the requirements of Weyerhaeuser. eProvision product’s GUI was customized for the improved user experience. My contributions include:

  • Developing a POC for the integration of Custom Applications to eProvision.
  • Developing and documentation of eProvision requirements for Weyerhaeuser’s Identity Management requirements.
  • Design and development of Custom web applications using Java and later ASP.net; customizing eProvision for Report generations using Crystal Reports.
  • Design and development of eProvision GUI customizations using Java.
  • Unit, Integration and System testing of Custom Applications and GUI customizations.

Project: Password Enhancement Program, Credit Card Encryption Program

Role: Designer & Developer SEP ‘03 – JUN. ‘05

Confidential,mandated the following: 1) RSA-based encryption scheme for D&B-wide application usage, 2) password-complaint rules, development of self-service user options (e.g. forgot password, change password), 3) support for “single sign-on” for all D&B applications based on user authentication and authorization. 4) Providing the system administrators a centralized User administration interface. My contributions:

  • Designed and developed public key generation algorithm, password compliant algorithm using C++ to support one way functions for RSA encryption.
  • Developed web-based portal solution using ASP, ASP.Net, JavaScript, IIS and MS-SQL Server for all web-based customized applications.

Credit Card Encryption Program involved developing hashing, encryption, decryption modules for highly secured storage & transmission of Credit Card information for D&B’s customers. My contributions included:

  • Designed and implemented data integrity using one-way hashing functions in C++; Data confidentiality using encryption methods involving complex public key generation algorithms in C++.
  • Documented design specifications and executed overall Unit, System and Integration tests.
