Lead Business Analyst

Led a team of 5 Business Analysts on a Chairman's Award winning strategic project to migrate mutual fund business to The Hartford's strategic trading and clearing platform which generates trade files to the NSCC and various other trading partners. Managed and mentored the business analyst team of all facets of the business analysis process including eliciting and documenting requirements, defining functional specifications, supporting Quality Services team and Business Acceptance Teams in documenting and performing their test scripts.

Mentored and supported the business analysts with all facets of the business analysis process including eliciting and documenting requirements, defining functional specifications, current and future state process flow sessions, use cases. Developed a methodology and strategy to provide traceability of explicit requirements in support of an end to end process while incorporating traceability of use cases, services and interfaces, as well as data.

Senior Business Analyst

Assisted in the research and analysis of Lincoln Financial Group's implementation of an inforce illustration system for their Universal Life, Variable Universal Life and Whole Life products. Define business requirements, documented specifications and mapping documents, develop test strategies, and coordinate pre and post production implementation validation.

Lead Business Analyst

Led a team in the research and analysis of MassMutual's pursuit of a replacement administration system platform for one of their individual and multilife lines of business. Evaluation of their current administration system and processing capabilities, developed the conceptual analysis for their business process re-engineering model, defined a high level list of business and technical requirements, evaluation of potential vendors including on-site visits, evaluation of industry analysis of potential platforms, responses to RFI and RFP, and analysis of vendor reference responses. Coordinated contract negotiations with Vendor and Client and participated in Project Planning activities to implement the selected system.

• Successful implementation of an XML rules based retirement income administration system AdminServer for a new longevity product including the analysis, design, specification documentation, testing, and implementation.
• Assisted in the research and analysis of Hartford Life's pursuit to acquire a new retirement income administration solution. Performed an evaluation of their current payout administration system and processing capabilities, defined a high level list of business and technical requirements, created a request for proposal RFP , and developed evaluation criteria and scoring model for an objective measurement of vendor's system. Performed a market analysis of potential vendors including a systems market assessment to identify initial list of vendors.

• Analysis of products to build the PPfA in VTXml. Worked with Finetre's AnnuityNet trading platform, various carriers and distributors to set up products, commission tables, forms XML and forms on the AnnuityNet trading platform.

• Provide Business Analysis Support on the conversion of ING's Bundled 401 k Corporate, 403 b Healthcare and 457 Government plans to DST TRAC recordkeeping system.

• Provide Business Analysis Support including requirements elicitation, business specifications, created test plan, scripts and complex integration test plan for an annuity new business system on the NaviSys administration system. Conducted system, integration and regression testing.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS CONSULTANT

Participated in the design, development and implementation of new and revised products for the corporate marketplace by working closely with Actuarial, Law, New Business, Sales and Marketing Departments of a Group Variable Universal Life product. Documented requirements and developed test conditions for the New Business and Inforce Sales Illustration System for the Variable Universal product. Assessed product and business needs to expedite workflow and quality control. Translated complicated actuarial/risk concepts into easily understood terms. Coordinated system and model office testing as well as regression impact testing.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS CONSULTANT to MassMutual

Business Analyst and Product Expert on the design and development of a Web Based Enrollment System a web based interface allowing group enrollment via the internet for a Group Variable Universal Life product utilizing use case analysis in developing and designing business specifications. Converted a Group Universal Life product from Cybertek to Sungard/FDP Administration System, which included conversion data and data mapping validation.
