- Assisted with developing a fully indigenous technology of Pulse Oximeter to compete with the internationally available models of it. Pulse Oximeter is used to calculate the Pulse Rate and Oxygen saturation of Confidential ts.
- The project encompassed using an optical sensing probe of Nellcor on any translucent part of the human body. Read the optical signal obtained by this probe with a 12-bit ADC built in MSP430. Fitted that output in predestined equations to calculate the SaO2. Designed hardware to trigger pulse for each heart beat. Both of these are displayed on 7-segment Display and stored in the I2C compatible EEPROM with the current time and date. Compared values with to values set by the doctor by keyboard. If SaO2 or Pulse Rate goes out of bounds then the corresponding audible and visual alarms are set.
