Business Analyst, Domain Expert

Responsibilities:

  • During this role, I worked for both the individual Business units and the IT department to formulate project requirement, develop implementation strategies and ultimately deliver a working solution for various upstream operational departments including Redstar largest onshore asset, This role involved daily engagements with executive level stakeholders, technical architects, SMEs and third party providers.
  • Reservoir Engineering Forecasting - Led a project to develop a solution to reduce the time taken to create well forecasts for RedStar’s production operations. We developed a solution that led to a 75% reduction in the time taken to complete these tasks across the well fleet. This was accomplished by automating data feeds from Redstar’s sources of record automatically into the reservoir engineering application. This decreased the time in which the engineers spent on entering data and instead focused them on the creation of the well forecasts.
  • Centralized Operations Center - Led the project to design and build RedStar’s first centralized Operations Center. The center uses a combination of Oracle Telepresence, interactive whiteboards, touchscreen displays, remote cameras and telestrators. Real time data on production and drilling operations is also fed into the system to allow for remote management of field operations. The center is also designed to serve as a hub for emergency incident management if the need arises. A long term goal of the center is to allow for remote control of operations as the necessary technology was implemented in the field throughout the company
  • Field Network - Served as drilling lead for the field-wide Business network implementation. This project delivered an RF network to a wide geographic area across several of RedStar’s assets. My team was specifically focused on this technology on the drilling side of the business. This network provided high-speed connectivity to remote operational locations to allow for future projects and initiatives to improve real time monitoring and performance improvement.
