Confidential is a PCI compliant donor gateway to over 1,000,000 charities and processes tens of millions of dollars in charitable contributions annually. Forbes Best of the Web for Charitable Giving for the 5th year in a row.

Responsible for the product strategy, technical direction and personally recruited most of the engineering team. PCI compliant, java backend for American Express and Discover.

Provider of marketing services to affinity groups offering educational travel experiences to their members. Clients included: Yale, Cal Berkeley, Stanford, National Geographic, and the Smithsonian Institution. Financed by Don Kendall Sr. the chairman emeritus of Pepsico. It acquired and was renamed to HighCountryPassage.

2000 - 2001 (1.5 years)

Confidential was a 24-hour cable and satellite channel featuring news and shows about computers, technology, and the Internet. It was broadcast in 70 countries, reached 43 million households, and claimed 1.9 million unique visitors monthly to its website. Owned by Vulcan Ventures (Paul Allen), it was merged with G4, ComCast\'s gaming channel.

Built the engineering team, system architecture, development processes and operational infrastructure which capably carried TechTV through to its merger with G4 five years later.

1998 - 2000 (2 years)

Confidential is on-line retailer of more than 300,000 health and beauty items financed by SoftBank, Sculley Brothers and 21st Century Venture Partners to compete directly with Drugstore.com.

Recruited and managed what was ultimately a 70 person engineering organization. Handled 5000 transactions daily via a completely in-house developed, ecommerce infrastructure.

1997 - 1998 (1 year)

Confidential created the first secure, online, cash based, payment system. This system was used by seven domestic and international banks including Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse.

Built the US development team from scratch. Managed the US and Dutch teams to release the multi-bank, multi-currency, version 2.0 of eCash.

1991 - 1997 (6 years)

Confidential's "User Choice Award" winning products included Help Desk, PC Asset Management, PC Audit, and Change Management. These products were installed in nearly ten thousand IT departments and were released in English, French and German versions. The company was sold to RoyalBlue in 1998.

Technical cofounder and employee #1. Built the engineering team, code base and processes from the ground up. Directed all architectural and UX design and participated in most C-Level sales interactions.
