Software Developer

2/2007 - Present

As a Software Developer for Snapfinger.com, my responsibilities include software development with Windows Desktop and Web-based applications, managing the staff of Technical Support engineers while researching and resolving Level 2 and Level 3 support issues, writing Transact-SQL stored procedures, jobs, and scripts, and making Sales and Investment presentations both in person and using Web Conferencing software. During my employment, Snapfinger's customer base and revenue has increased by over 800% while gaining more than eight million dollars on private investments and making its first-ever acquisition of another privately-owned company.
Software Developer ( 4/2010 - current):

  • Manager over Technical Support Engineers and QA department.
  • Sole maintainer of Menu Builder desktop application used by entire Operations department to maintain and create online ordering menus. Application was written in C# and updated the database through calls to a Web Service.
  • Developed a custom certified integration into the QSR Kitchen Display System using C# and XML.
  • Maintain and enhanced Snapfinger's primary product, the e-commerce shopping cart used by all online ordering. Solutions were written in ASP.NET with VB.NET logic and use of CSS styling and layout handling.
  • Written several production Transact-SQL scheduled jobs to quickly meet customer requests and offer new functionality. Examples include a job that would change the Carrabba's online menu offerings based on day of week and store location, and a job to dynamically open or close Bob Evans stores during the 2011 winter holidays.
  • Designed JavaScript to add new features to the online ordering menus, such as displaying the current time of a restaurant without making any database or web service calls, and dynamically displaying different sections of the menu based time of day, day of week, and type of restaurant.
  • Lead Developer for maintaining and enhancing custom API integrations into several Point of Sale systems, such as Aloha, Micros, HSI, POSitouch, Xpient, and Compris. Solutions were written in C# and VB.NET in a Windows Desktop Client application, leveraging XML to exchange online orders between the Servers and Client with Web Services.
  • Maintained and enhanced the C# web service that generated the XML online orders.
  • Designed application that ported all data from a company acquisition into our SQL Server 2008 database. The application parsed data from XML documents into Transact-SQL Insert statements.
  • Wrote Transact-SQL stored procedures that are used in our Production environment to add new functionality to system.

Sales Engineer ( 12/2008 - current) :

  • As the primary Sales Engineer in the company, gave Sales and Investment pitches with the CEO, President, Vice President of Operations, and the top salespeople from the Sales department.
  • Delivered presentations using GoToMeeting, oftentimes having to drive the visual presentation while also narrating.
  • Accompanied Snapfinger executive employees on dozens of on-site Sales pitches at companies such as Groupon, Living Social, Darden, Ruby Tuesday, Zaxby's, Moe's Southwest Grill, Macaroni Grill, Subway, Rising Roll, Doc Greens, and Radiant
  • Represented the company at Trade Shows

QA Manager ( 2/2007 - 3/2010 ):

  • Responsible for testing and validating all software bug tickets.
  • Composed Release notes that were submitted to all customers.
  • Helped plan and schedule the inclusion or exclusion of bug fixes and enhancements with the CTO and Vice President of Technology.
  • Designed UI enhancements for Snapfinger's e-commerce shopping cart and web-based Administrative applications.
  • Developed InstallShield script enhancements for Snapfinger's primary Windows Desktop Client application.
  • Wrote Transact-SQL reports for Billing, Sales, and Operations departments, as well as the CEO and President.
  • Developed Transact-SQL scripts for Updating, Inserting, and Deleting thousands of records in SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 in a support role.
  • Managed QA employees in the Atlanta office, as well as overseas in South Africa and India.
  • Account Manager for Subway, Moe's Southwest Grill, Baja Fresh, Fatburger, Tony Roma's, and Shane's Rib Shack.
