In an effort to gain efficiencies from the merger of the GHI and HIP organizations, this EDI project was initiated to consolidate operational processes to promote transparency into a single Emblem Health entity.
As part of this project all HIPAA transactions were received and sent through BizTalk as integration middleware. HIPAA 4010 versions along with the canonical schemas were used to convert incoming transactions into NSF, NEIC or OCR Formats. Also outgoing transactions like payments, claim status were batched and sent across.
