• Determine test requirements for new products, features & bug fixes (functional, integration, compatibility, stress, regression, system and performance).
• Write and maintain test plans, specifications, results, final GA check lists (FCO or UAT), bug reports and status reports. Also, determine which tests should be automated for saving cost, testing schedule on time.
• Strong knowledge and experience of software quality assurance methodologies and processes and familiarity with Product lifecycles (PLC) and familiarity with Product lifecycles (PLC).
• Security clearance (COMSEC) for testing the Federal Secure Phones (STE, Sectera, Viper and STU phones).
• Knowledge of Security protocols in SSL/TLS, OCSP and Cryptography (SHA1, SHA2, RSA, DSA)
• Responsible for test lab management: setting/purchased/maintained test equipments for each releases/projects and tracking/inventory test equipments for repair, calibration. Also, maintain lab safety and compliance with ISO procedures.
• Distribute test cases/areas to team, mentor development and QA people on technology, products and methodology.
• Use the automation scripts (Perl, Tcl) for test suites automation for sanity, regression of each build.
• Use bug tracking system (ddts/tcts and jira) and test case matrix to track schedules, assess risks, create reports and present data to management. Create wiki pages for internal reference material.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Test Engineer, Development QA 09/02 – 04/2012

* Influenced and presented budget projections for scheduling, resources, test equipment requirements for each software release, based on company roadmap. Defined the risk factors, contacted the right vendors for correct quotes and submitted the CAJ (Capital Asset Justification) for equipment costs to VP of Engineering for approvals, worked and followed-up with purchasing department to place the PO’s.
* Responsible for daily reporting of the test team execution during FAT (Functional Acceptance Test), FT (Functional Test), ST (System Test) and FCO aka UAT (Final Check Out).
* Wrote the system test specifications and executed automation to simulate customer environments. Used TestLink or tcts for test case tracking systems and JIRA or DDTS for bug tracking reports.
* Performed the secure phone test matrix (STE/STU-II & III, Sectera, Viper, Omni), tested and maintained the secure phones cabinet.
* Lab management: established the ISO procedure for lab environment, maintained the equipment calibration, setting and designed the new network topologies for each new feature at each release. Researched and placed the new equipment purchasing for both test and development groups.
* Customer Support: worked remotely for configuring and troubleshooting with customer and field service. Tested all maintenance releases. * Core test team member for the new NET product – UX (Unified Exchange) 1000/2000 Platform: FXS/FXO Analog, SIP trunking, Microsoft Lync Office Communicator, WEB UI/CLI, manual tests, execution of automated regression and sanity tests for each new build.
* Core test team member for VX900 (VoIP) platform: CAS/ISDN (T1/E1) on SIP/H.232 testing. Interoperability testing with Cisco Routers for Ethernet serial. Executed both manual and automation test suites.
* Core test team member for NX1000 & Promina Access Platform: TDM and NX-IPTRK (IGMP/IPv4 & MLD/IPv6) and JITC (Joint Interoperability Test Command) certification testing for DISA government network, MLPP secure phones, fax and modem testing, latency measurements on heavy traffic for most of customer support data speeds. Security testing and password restriction by setting up the SSH scripts, Secure Ports Scan (Nmap and Nessus). Use HPOpenView MibBrowser, AdventNet and iReasoning for MIB walks, SNMP testing. * Designed the test lab and assisted in defining test network topology and configuration environment. Installed, set up and upgraded the test equipment such as Abacus, INET Spectra, Hammer, and DNS SIP Proxy Server.

* Customer Support: Tested all maintenance releases. Triaged all customer bugs that were escalated from Customer Support to Engineer. Worked closely with CPE (Current Product Engineering) teams to understand the problem in the field, reproduced and gathered information for CPE engineers, and then verified the fixes. Maintained Status for all current customer affecting bugs, and presented rollup reports of progress to management. Helped with planning and test cases development for planned and unplanned maintenance releases. Assisted in defining test network topology, and configuration environment.
* Promina 100: Release of new small Promina 800 series chassis. Coordinated the testing across 3 QA teams, several field service and technical support people. Wrote test plan and Specifications, configured network topology, reviewed customer documentation, provided weekly status reports, and wrote the test results.
* Hardware: Worked with 3 separate hardware groups and manufacturing to coordinate the schedules of all hardware projects to come to QA, including: Cost-reduced boards, part obsolescence reproductions, and manufacturing reworked boards. Maintained schedules, created test cases, reviewed ECO’s, trained HW engineers to verify the boards, fixes, etc. Performed the verifications, regression, and compatibility tests, and reported status.
* Core test team member: for IDNX & Promina Access Platforms: Test projects included: GNSP environment simulation, Voice Reseller network configurations, CellXpress (ATM UNI), and T3/E3, T1/E1 trunk interface upgrades. Worked on all major and minor releases of Promina Platform, with some projects overlapping.
* Lab Support Engineer Technician: Configured nodes and networks to simulate customer configuration for S/W, H/W Development, TAC and QA Groups (6 labs).
