Job Description:

Acts as the Senior Systems Analyst/Project Manager for the implementation of Abacus law.  Works closely with each OAG division to capture and refine business requirements, create test cases, project plans and other lifecycle documents.



  • Creates project schedules, business requirements, test plans, and risk management plans.
  • Works with CIO and director of practice technology to create data governance plan.
  • Works with each OAG division to create field mappings (old vs new system), and screen prototypes.
  • coordinates data migration and data cleansing.
  • works with supervisors to ensure case data and associated case documents are successfully migrated.
  • Works with technical team and OAG staff to coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Participates in all user and administrator training.
  • Works with other District of Columbia agencies such as CJCC, MPD, DYRS, and CFSA to create necessary integrations with other case management systems.
  • Captures all bug reports, change requests, and enhancement requests.
  • Assists in the documentation of enhanced case management system process flows.
  • Updates project sharepoint site with current milestones.
  • Creates and maintain executive presentations and brief status documents.
  • Attends CJCC IWG and JSAT meetings as appropriate.

Required experience:

  • Significant (11+ yrs.) experience as a project manager in a public sector or consulting environment.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Microsoft office and other software.
  • Experience creating governance and change control plans
  • Familiarity with SQL server, Microsoft Azure, and Tableau.
  • Diplomacy and tact.
  • Training and documentation experience a plus.
  • Experience working with public safety stakeholders a plus.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience or a current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
