Major service center upgrade to non-rac environment, DBaas - Database as a service migrations, Documentum upgrade to 11g, content server update to 11g

REQUIREMENTS:

Senior to Expert level Database Administration skills and ability to follow enterprise standards for configuring Oracle and SQL server settings, build database tables, build maintenance job, test environments with customers, monitor alerts, performance, schedule jobs, deploy scripts. Knowledge of Oracle 11g RAC environments, SQL server 2008 environments.

7+ years experiencing working with Oracle and SQL server. Under general supervision is competent to work in all phases of database management. Proficient in all aspects of database management and demonstrates expertise in many areas of database management including: Database design; Performance tuning; Backup and recovery; Security; Disaster Recovery; Capacity management. Collaborates on development of complex technical and security standards. Consults on complex technical issues and contributes to architectural decisions. May act as team leader on moderately complex projects. Assists in training less experienced DBAs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs, tests, implements, maintains and controls the organization's  production and non-production databases.   Provides on-call support for production environments.
