Responsibilities:
- Lead migration from SQL 2000 to SQL 2008
- Maintain existing database environments
- Create/maintain existing and new stored procedures, views, indexes
- Improve upon already existing data development processes
- Provide database support to other departments
- Assist in evaluation of new tools to enhance data offerings to clients
- Design/Implement ETL processes
Requirements:
- Experience in SQL Server Database Administration
- Skilled in database development, data architecture and database tuning
- Ability to work independently with minimal requirements and supervision or in
a collaborative team environment as needed
- Solid troubleshooting skills
- Experience designing and writing ETL processes
Additional Skills Sought:
- Experience programming in C#
- Knowledge of OGC standards (WMS, WFS, KML)
- Previous geospatial data experience.
- Experience utilizing spatial capabilities of SQL 2008
- Knowledge of SQL Reporting Services development and deployment.
