My client, a finanical institution in Washington DC, has a 6+ month contract opportuntity for a Drupal/PHP Developer. The Drupal team works closely with the client's communications unit to provide the world with timely information. They serve as a symbol of the institution’s transparency and willingness to work with clients and partners around the world. We need a talented individual with the ability to wear many hats to become a core part of our Drupal team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Create custom Drupal sites with features for blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, collaborations, etc.
- Write custom APIs using PHP to retrieve data from institutional sources
- Develop good quality code using PHP, HTML, DHTML, CSS, etc.
- Install and maintain server products
- Develop code to integrate various sources
- Review and have an understanding of institutional data marts and develop APIs to retrieve dataDrupal sites creation with blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, collaborations features
- Create a fully-functional website based on technical specifications
- Provide documentation of work in the project.
- Education: Bachelor’ degree in Computer Science or related field
- Role Specific Experience: 5+ years of experience in web design or development services
- Experience in building and maintaining Drupal sites
- Experience with producing standards compliant Drupal themes from creative designs and style guides
- Experience with developing custom Drupal modules
- Experience with systems administration and server maintenance.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle
- Advanced understanding of web trends, including social media integration and the impact of the growth of mobile/tablet browsing
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Demonstrated ability to use rapid application development methodologies and techniques to deploy applications quickly and accurately
- Ability to work independently on the assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple tasks
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
