Purpose/Background:
Provide data analysis and data modeling support for data warehouse related projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Data analysis of source data (GPS, Batch, Messages, Transactional, Operational, Analytical)
• Data modeling skills to design and create required new tables, and integrate new tables into existing schema
• Interview business users, customers and/or technical SME's and define data requirements, perform source system data profiling including structure, data, and relationship discovery
• Translate requirements and Design conceptual, logical, and physical models to meet project requirements
• Translate end-user requirements into a definition of the overall data warehouse architecture including the ETL process, ODS, and Data Marts
• Work with the EDW (Informatica), Business Objects, Dashboard and report development team members to design and provide dimensionally modeled data via the creation of ETL packages
• Create documentation to provide insight into the ETLs developed, including source-to-Client mappings and data models
• Develop, design, maintain, test, install, and modify ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) within the context of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions
• Consolidate and deliver data centric project artifacts including data profile findings, data quality requirements, business metadata (table/column), source to Client mappings (data lineage specifications), data transformation logic, source system specification, operational requirements (data retention, archiving, and purge), etc.
• Conduct model reviews with DBA's and project team members.

Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Services or related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum three - five (3-5) years of data analysis and data modeling/data architect experience.
• Minimum three - five (3-5) years Relational database (Oracle, DB2) experience (SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, etc.) and understanding of data warehousing
• Detailed knowledge of both normalized and dimensional logical and physical data modeling and experience in using data modeling tools such as Erwin, Visio and Toad
• Have no less than 3-5 years of experience with Informatica
• Have proven skills and in-depth knowledge of ETL concepts, BI processes and best practices
• Understanding in how to maintain a technical, process, and business metadata management repository
• Familiarity with how Message Brokers work
• Background in Transportation or GPS is Preferred.
