Position Overview:

We are seeking to augment the current Infrastructure Delivery unit with a Project Coordinator for Infrastructure Delivery and Operations. This position will be based in Washington, DC to complement existing teams and work with HQ and WBG regions. This position will extend over next fiscal year to June 2019.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform project planning within WBG ITS, Regional CO IT’s, CO IT’s, and GSD Facility and Asset Management
  • Gather project scope and requirements
  • Work closely with IT teams to monitor project milestones and critical paths to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule
  • Identify ways to resolve schedule issues
  • Produce project status reports for colleagues and clients
  • Coordinate effective workflows and processes with one or more vendor and/or alliance partners
  • Follow-up on pending operational issues: review open trouble tickets, project implementation in coordination with institutional teams, and coordinate any field activities
  • Record/update all activities using the official project management tools, incident (trouble-ticket) management system, inventory management systems, etc.
  • Support tasks for ISO and other audit compliance involving CO IT infrastructure
  • Produce ITSNI unit management report
  • Perform coordination and collection of milestone/data from other leads/units
  • Maintain WBG Asset Management repository (Remedy) to have Country Office assets in order
  • Manage Change request system (Remedy) to create, assign, and follow-up with project managers to timely closing of change requests
  • Maintain ITSNI Standard operating procedures in WBG document repository (WBDocs)
  • Develop Standard Operating procedures and presentations
  • Maintain ITSNI various Share point and Spark Websites
  • Identify potential risks and develop preventive plans for procedural activities
  • Analyze facts and data to support sound, logical decisions regarding own and others' work
  • Collaborate with other team members and contribute productively to the team's work and output
  • Review customer business requirements and determine where support is needed, relative to existing technical systems design
  • Involve the key players in identifying operating needs, issues, and solutions
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Role Specific Experience: 2+ years of experience in the area of Information Technology
  • Experience with technical reporting and management tools, such as Remedy and ServiceNow
  • Experience with prioritizing conflicting demands in high-pressure and time-critical situations
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Understanding of technologies (WAN , ISP, network protocols, telecommunications, audio/video technology, data/voice cabling) used in order to be effective in coordinating IT teams across multiple units
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel; Power Point; Word) and Share Point
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Good understanding of Asset Management (Asset life cycle)
  • Ability to assess requirements and initiate and complete task or project with little or without guidance
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
  • Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions
  • Ability to apply problem-solving skills to evaluate and solve problems effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a multinational team environment and build effective working relations with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Proven ability to direct, coach, and develop staff
  • Understanding of change request life cycle
  • Ability to take personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success
  • Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with executive management and multiple constituencies
