JOB DETAILS:


In this role, you will contribute to programs/projects specific to initiatives that have significant impact on how we do business. We need someone who cancoach multiple Scrum Masters and their teams in Lean Agile principles and Scrum practices to optimize benefits of being Agile.  Skilled in coaching new Agile teams, cross-functional team members (Dev, QA, BA), Product Owners, and Product Managers to achieve best practices.  Someone who has the ability to facilitate the Agile methodology, training sessions and activities. Provides a vision and strategy; coaches and calibrates the team; enables a culture of continuous improvement. Assesses the adoption risk associated with the change effort. Identifies, develops and executes strategies and supporting tactics to engage and influence all stakeholders to make needed behavioral changes. Partners to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed from them.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Agile practices.
  • Provide coaching and training at the program and team levels.
  • Support the team and enable Scrum Master, Product Owner and other roles to effectively perform their roles
  • Facilitate and assist the team in practices to break work down into smaller sizes to deliver in a single sprint.
  • Coach teams through Agile routines and ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Demo, Retrospective, and PI Planning - transitioning responsibility to the team over time.
  • Help support agile tool adoption and consistent utilization.
  • Help establish and support consistent reporting practices across the teams.
  • Help to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications


Required Skills:

  • 3+ years direct experience transforming and coaching new teams to Lean Agile at scale.
  • 5+ years technology experience in IT full development life cycle.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, concepts, and ceremonies.
  • Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Agile experience.
  • Able to quickly establish collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and team members to help them on their journey of adopting Agile; Strong collaboration and influencing skills. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, establish credibility, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence.
  • Has faced difficult challenges, group dynamics, organizational impediments, and has become a coach to teams, managers and others.
  • Can prepare and deliver effective communication of progress including the use of agile metrics and maturity assessments.

Desired Skills:

  • Agile Certifications preferred (SPC4, Scaled Agilist (SA), CSM, CPO, etc.)
  • Rally Software Experience
  • Direct Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
