My customer, an international organization located in Washington, DC has a contract position available for a Informatica Programmer

Key Responsibilities

Devises data conversion strategy for a system focused on delivering an advanced analytical capability to the client. Positional duties include the creation of new Informatica scripts, the transition of PL/SQL ETLs to new Informatica scripts, or the modification of existing scripts.
Developing Informatica Mappings and writing complex Oracle PL/SQL programs for the Data Warehouse
Analysis of transaction errors, troubleshooting issues in the software, developing bug-fixes, and providing performance tuning efforts

Essential Job Functions

Setup the Informatica environment in the DEV, TST, and PRD landscapes
Setup a development environment to develop and version maps, etc.
Create a common framework for error and exception handling, status reporting, and restart
Develop scheduling streams to schedule the maps, verify dependencies, and report job status
Configure Informatica Data Director (IDD) per MDM project requirements
Develop Informatica IDQ services
Integrate Informatica MDM and IDQ
Develop ETL between systems, as required (e.g. Develop the maps for moving data from SAP R3 to the corresponding tables in Oracle)
Implement data conversions, including mappings between systems
Create a common framework for error and exception handling, status reporting, and restart

Required Experience:

2+ years of strong implementation experience with Informatica MDM, Informatica IDQ, and Informatica ETL
Experience with PL/SQL, and SAP BAPI, and ABAP
Experience with Informatica on SAP R3 and Oracle systems
Experience with the establishment of operational framework for Informatica-based tasks,
Informatica Powercenter, IDQ, and MDM development experience.
Extensive experience in development, maintenance, and enhancement of Informatica Mappings, Work-flows, and processes
Project experience with developing complex SQL query and dimensional data model
Experience with developing and deploying Informatica in Unix and Oracle 11g database environment
Experience with MS SQL Server
Experience with creating complex Informatica ETL mappings and workflows
Experience coding complex SQL queries Certification

Required Skills/Abilities

Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Good knowledge of Oracle 11G PL/SQL
Ability to accomplish detail-oriented work
Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
Ingenuous, resourceful, and flexible approach to deal with issues
Ability to prioritize workload and balance conflicting demands

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information, or Electrical Engineering.
