Detailed Job Description:
  • Dynamics 365 CRM functional business analyst skills
  • The role of Business Analyst for GSP will lead and manage the interaction between technology (IT&S) and the global commercial stakeholder base for a portfolio of applications. This includes CRM, Web Portals, Marketing tools and reporting and analytics.  
  • Responsibilities will include leading super user forums and interacting with local IT&S and commercial teams at all levels, providing both MS Dynamics and trading domain subject matter expertise to design new and innovative solutions. The Analyst will provide insight and leadership, partnering closely with commercial stakeholders to realize project benefits and align the overall technology and business strategy. The role will provide pivotal capability and knowledge in all activities relating to both solution enhancement and operational activity. 
  • A particular focus will be the IST CRM solution (MS Dynamics) which aims to improve collaboration across the Front Office Origination teams (sharing of client activity across IST, with improved account management, business retention and ultimately driving new business opportunities). 
  • The analyst will play a key role in unlocking commercial value through the latest technology offers including: advanced functionality and analytical capability (e.g. event management, data collaboration, mobility, data lake); deep data integration into client's ecosystem (web portals and Oil and Gas Commodity ETRM’s).  
  • The Analyst will also need to support the GSP stakeholders in unlocking value from complex products, balancing the focus on control in processes and systems with the growth ambitions and requirements to react quickly (“time to market”)
Key Accountabilities:

Requirements Engineering:
  • Elicits requirements at all stakeholder levels.
  • Leads requirements workshops.
  • Refines requirements to eliminate ambiguity, conflict and duplication.
  • Models requirements using a structured approach.
  • Works with design and architecture on design options and potential systems and process solutions.
  • Uses tools to manage requirements and traceability.
Project Delivery:
  • Supports the full project lifecycle including Delivery and Support.
  • Provides quality assurance on analysis deliverables through peer review.
  • Delivers clear user communications.
  • Manages user expectations.
Relationship and Stakeholder Management:
  • Builds strong business intimacy with commercial partners at all levels.
  • Manages relationships in a global team with a global user community.
Business Process Change:
  • Leads business process workshops.
  • Analyses and maps business processes.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements.
  • Supports test teams.
  • Writes test scenarios.
  • Performs regression testing.
  • Conducts User Acceptance Testing.
  • Analyses data flows.
  • Models data requirements.
Technical Understanding:
  • Uses SQL to interrogate data.
  • Understands and builds complex spreadsheets.

  • Supports a global user community, providing assistance with issue diagnosis and resolution 
  • Analyses and clearly documents defects, minor enhancements and change requests.
Domain Knowledge:
  • Good knowledge of Front Office Origination and Marketing processes and sales pipeline management 
  • Good knowledge of oil and gas trading markets, including physical, OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives instruments 
  • Systems Knowledge
  • Deep understanding and proven experience of working on systems functionality core to MS Dynamics 365  
Desirable Criteria:
  • 5 years experience Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013/2015/2016
  • 5 years experience Oil/Gas trading or financial services
  • 5-10 years business analysis experience 
  • Experience leading agile project teams, ideally using Scrum/Kanban 
  • Experience eliciting requirements from front office stakeholders
  • Experience working with global project and business stakeholders 
  • Experience working with offshore testing and development teams
  • Experience with Kanban and delivering agile projects
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas Transaction Pipes
  • Experience of the full project delivery cycle in IST IT&S 
  • Professional accreditation e.g. Foundation in Business Analysis or ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis.
