The Data Modeler's role is to serve as a subject matter expert and perform tasks that contribute to the conceptual and physical models.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the lead data architect in revising conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Partnering with software engineers for data model changes needed for new features and capabilities
- Updating data models that conform to existing standards and conventions
- Revising data dictionary definitions, governance practices, and standards
- Ensuring compliance with data security and privacy mandates
- Help perform end-to-end data lifecycle management activities, including data archival and removal
- Performance tuning of SQL, PL/SQL, and ETL development
- Ensuring consistency and quality of data between technical system components
- Document implementation procedures for execution by Production DBAs.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or a closely-related related field
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Architect with demonstrated expertise in enterprise data management and related technologies
- Advanced SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle knowledge
- Experience with Embarcadero ER/Studio or a comparable data modeling tool
- Experience with data management technologies, including database platforms, ETL tools, and SQL
- Knowledge of configuration management and version control processes
- Good communication skills and stakeholder relationship skills.

- Knowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts.
