Position Description:

The developer would be responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting of new .NET web applications in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices used by the agency.    They would participate in the application technical design process and completes estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks.  The Developer also communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards.  The developer would be responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting of new .NET web applications in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices used by the agency.  

Current tools and technologies include:

•             . Net 2.0/3.0/3.5, ColdFusion, SQL Server 2008, Dreamweaver, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS, Ms Access

•             Have database experience with SQL Server

•             Experience in conversion from ColdFusion to .NET

•             Database migration experience Ms Access to SQL Server

Skills and Requirements:

•             IS related bachelor’s degree.

•             An associate degree or comparable work experience in an Information Systems position or related business position may be considered.

•             4 years or more years experience in web application development

•             4 or more years experience in web application development using ASP.Net

•             3 or more years experience in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS, UML.

•             3 or more years experience in writing MS SQL Stored Procedures / Functions for application use.

•             2 or more years experience in database design experience

•             2 or more years experience in development using ColdFusion

•             2 or more years experience MS Access experience is desired.

•             2 or more years experience Dreamweaver experience is desired.

•             .NET Security features such as Authentication & Authorization, Form-based Authentication, Authorizing Users, Roles and User Account Personation

•             Application conversion experience from ColdFusion to .Net, is a plus.

•             Database migration experience from Ms Access to SQL Server, is a plus.

•             Unix/Linux based systems, is a plus.

•             Strong technical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are required.

•             Responsible, accountable, highly motivated and customer service oriented

•             Ability to learn quickly. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

•             Demonstrated ability to work independently and in small 2-3 developer teams is a MUST
