Our client has multiple openings for a Business Analyst with a strong background in Informatica. Ideally we are looking for a BA that is experienced with MDM or Product 360.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work with business and technology subject matter experts to acquire data from technology production systems and make that data available for operational research, reporting, analysis.
  • Help to automate and streamline complex manual or semi-automated reporting processes.
  • Work consistently to improve data completeness, accuracy, and actionability.
  • Develop efficient ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) routines for loading small-to-large amounts of operational data.
  • Ensure appropriate indexing is in place to optimize performance of web-based reporting applications fed from team data repositories.
  • Enhance/create automated systems to monitor database server health (including storage space, CPU usage, fragmentation, etc.).
  • Identify and remediate performance pain points as needed.
  • Help make analysis-ready data available to downstream consumers, analysts, applications, etc. within our Hadoop Data Lake.
  • Help improve data documentation and accessibility.
  • Learn from senior developers/analysts in the areas of data modeling, ETL design, and query efficiency.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain relational databases preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge writing SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of one or more query design tools (i.e., Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Teradata SQL Assistant, Oracle SQL Developer, etc.).
  • Knowledge of one or more ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools a plus (i.e., Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Informatica, Ab Initio, Talend, etc.).
  • Skills in query tuning and overall efficient use of database resources preferred.
  • Experience with Hadoop and other Big Data tools (such as Hive, Spark, SQOOP, etc.) a plus.
