Title: Sr. Business Analyst – Healthcare IT
Location: Quincy, MA (onsite only)

Our client is interested in engaging a senior level Business Analyst with experience in Healthcare IT and HIPAA regulations The Senior Business Analyst for the Maintenance and Enhancement team serves as the liaison between the business community, the project team, the software vendors and as such, should be well versed in Health Information Exchange (HIE) and the Electronic Health Record processing.
 
The Senior BA's primary responsibility is to ensure that the designs for system changes and processes are complete and comprehensive, appropriately meet the requirements of the business community, conform to all applicable Federal and state laws, and are adequately documented. The Senior BA will be an active member in all phases of the project including: gap analysis, requirements gathering, design and development activities, testing, implementation, and stabilization.
 
Duties:
  • Interact with stakeholder organizations from across the Massachusetts healthcare community on all aspects of the program
  • Coordinate review cycles with business users during all phases of the projects
  • Document business requirements and participate in their development
  • Review and provide feedback on the software provider's documentation and deliverables, including:
    • Business Requirements
    • Business Process Models
    • Use Cases, Gap Analyses
    • Gap Closure Strategies
    • Design Specifications
    • Requirements Traceability Matrices
    • Risk Assessments
    • Test Plans
    • Implementation Guides, and User Training Guides
  • Develop test strategies, test scenarios and test cases
  • Execute tests, review results and sign off on tested components
  • Identify and track system defects
  • Design and develop operational workflows, roll out strategies and cutover plans
  • Support the development of end-user training materials and end-user documentation as required.
  • Write and/or enhance Change Requests
Skills and Experience Needed:
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Healthcare IT experience with HIE and EHR system knowledge
  • Expert knowledge in HL7, CCDA, XML and other healthcare IT processing.
  • Business requirements analysis and documentation experience
  • Healthcare, hospital, privacy, and HIPAA policy analysis experience
  • Business system design experience
  • Test planning and execution experience
  • SDLC and methodology familiarity
  • Effort, schedule, and resource estimation experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related degree program and hands on experience.
