A financial services company located in Oaks, PA has a 6+ month contract available for a Advent Geneva RSL Report Writer/Developer.

Project Description

Project team works closely with the business team in developing various Geneva RSL accounting reports.  Team members are assigned prioritized work requests and complete work independently of the other team members.  However, assistance can be provided by other team members as needed.  Work requests are queued up as fund accountants define additional reporting needs.  Report writers (developers) on team must have a strong accounting background and experience with writing RSL reports from the Geneva database.

Position Functions or Responsibilities

·         Ability to leverage accounting knowledge to write reports using Geneva report scripting language (RSL)

·         Work closely with fund accountants and other business contacts to understand requirements

·         Participate in development activities as part of an onsite development team

·         Ensure all work products have been fully tested with various business scenarios

·         Prepare and stage deliverables for production deployment

·         Possess excellent communication skills

·         Migrate reports to RDL format

·         Ability to be a quick learner and to understand fund accounting data

·         Support Geneva application and AGA maintenance releases

·         Prior knowledge and experience with non-object oriented programming languages

Basic Qualifications

·         2 years of Geneva report scripting language (RSL)

·         Strong accounting background and excellent understanding of accounting principles and policies

·         Ability to work independently, efficiently and accurately
