Roles and Responsibilities:

Primary job duties will be to review and test Microsoft Installer-based software packages distributed by Microsoft SCCM

Testing MSI based packages for corporate distribution via Microsoft SCCM that perform silent and unattended installation and removal of software applications

Performing quality assurance validation of software application packages

Basic Skills:

Experience quality checking software packages in a managed enterprise environment having more than 10,000 computer clients and use of the associated methodologies and technologies

Experience with technologies used to create .MSI based software packages (e.g. Flexera Admin Studio)

Experience creating application packages for SCCM distribution

Self motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity

Able to work in a highly dynamic and team environment

Good organizational and time management skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with scripting technologies used to create custom actions

Good written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrative analytical and problem solving skills through the ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software problems

Experience with providing desktop support in an enterprise environment

Experience with software distribution methodologies and practices (e.g. Microsoft SCCM 2007 or 2012 application deployment)

Experience with Windows Installer including the command line interface, MSI Database, and application resiliency

Experience with application installation configuration software  (e.g. Admin Studio, Wise Packaging Studio, InstallShield)

Experience with troubleshooting SCCM client and server issues

Understanding of the Windows 7 Professional operating system

Understanding of application interfaces (e.g. COM, ODBC, BDE, Oracle client, etc.)
