Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:

  • Maintain/manage Mail Delivery rules to filter out spoofing attempts matching certain patterns
  • Maintain whitelisted senders such that the “external email” warning banner is not prepended to messages from them
  • Fine tune the Exchange Online malware filtering rules
  • Maintain/create mail delivery rules such that certain classifications of external senders are rendered as plain text rather than HTML, and the whitelisting associated with such rules
  • Strong understanding of O365 (Exchange, Skype, Azure) Windows server 2008, 2012, and 2016 · Have a solid understanding of on premise Exchange 2010, Skype for Business 201
  • Have a solid understanding of SMTP mail flow · Understanding of other technology sub - areas, i.e., server administration, server security, testing and implementation processes and procedures.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, ability to communicate with peers and end users.
  • 10+ years of Microsoft Exchange Server system administration.
  • Review the current/proposed environment for both the expected capabilities and efficiencies in support of the Service as appropriate
  • Provide Exchange server incident management, trouble tickets and escalations
  • Apply Microsoft Exchange vendor provided patches and updates
  • List, add, modify and remove created or imported domains in federal agency environment through Active Directory.
  • Windows and Linux Active Directory Privileged user account provisioning and management.
  • Provide general support to the Exchange email environment during core business hours in accordance with SLAs
  • Engage vendors on behalf of federal agency for hardware maintenance and problem mitigation in the Email environment
  • Maintain Database Availability Groups (DAG)
  • Solid knowledge and experience with implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, LDAP, Group Policies, Permissions and applying Security Templates, Microsoft Clusters. Assist with the review & overhaul of existing mail delivery rules within Exchange Online
