Job Description/Role details:

  • Assess, categorize, prioritize, plan, evaluate, release and review all Request For Changes (RFCs) in a controlled and standard manner.
  • Review RFCs for completeness and following up with the Change Requestor or Project Manager or Engineer as required
  • Manage the policies, standards, and procedures required to track configurable items and change requests including new features, enhancement requests, defects and changed requirements.
  • Oversee version and revision identification, development status, and the relationship among items and check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Setup and manage Repositories, Projects, and packages through current and future LifeScan tools
  • Schedule, manage document and distribute new releases of the evolving LifeScan application ecosystem
  • Act as lead in information gathering for new applications being brought under the control of the IT Governance team
  • Analyze change records to determine any trends or apparent problems that occur and suggest improvements
  • Maintain and publish the Change Schedule, ensure future changes are properly communicated and that any required input from impacted parties are obtained.
  • Engage and work closely with various Technical and Non-Technical Operational groups and Engineering organizations to help socialize and communicate “Reasons for Change.”
  • Assess, govern and execute the overall Change Management Process standardizing across the company.
  • Develop and implement a structured change control methodology and framework. Be the champion for change control and lead change control activities across the organization.
  • Create, administer, and chair change advisory board (CAB) meetings (and any Emergency CAB meetings) across the various verticals. Lead CAB meetings, the ability to effectively and efficiently host meetings where changes are reviewed and evaluated.

Educational Requirements for the Proffered Position
The minimum qualification required for the performance of the above specialty occupation duties is a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent of the same in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field with relevant work experience.
