Must Have Skills:

1. 6 + years of development experience in a web service architecture
2. 8+ years Hands - on development experience in IBM Data power - XI52/IDG - gateway Appliances – MPG, WSP and XML Gateway
3. Understanding of Web Services ( SOAP / Rest ) internals, Workflows & messaging
4. Understanding and / or development experience in any of the following Web Services: WSDL, XML, SOAP, J2EE, and/or WS-Security.
5. Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Sciences or similar
6. Experience with Linux server operating systems
7. Understanding of network and security principles
8. Broad knowledge of different IT domains such as network, security, architecture and processes.
9. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
10. Understanding of API best practices

Nice to have skills:

1. Strong hands on experience with Java (i.e., managed implementation and/or development experience) a plus.
2. Experience with deployment and administration of J2EE Application Servers and Containers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Spring, etc.). – a plus
3. 4+ years Hands-on development experience with CA API Gateway Policy Manager a plus

Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:

• Provides technical expertise and leadership to develop solutions spanning business processes, operating systems, applications, and hardware platforms
• Reviews andor designs apis and makes recommendations based on governing principles.
• Work closely with SOA Solution Architects and Product Owner to standardize apis
• Develops and/or recommends standards, guidelines, and best practices for APIs.
• Develop solutions
• Work with stakeholders with all levels of technical knowledge
• Work with business critical applications across functional areas.
• Negotiates acceptable solutions to complex problems across multiple business and/or technical areas.
• Defines and specifies re-usable services based on the analysis and understanding of existing legacy processes and code
