Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of client devices and associated infrastructure.
  • Integration of internally and externally developed software into client device environment.
  • Planning and coordination of activities involving the installation, deployment and upgrade of software on client devices.
  • Develop and maintain operating system images for all supported client devices.
  • Active Directory group policy development and maintenance.
  • Management of print queue and server infrastructure.
  • Administration of security platforms including antivirus, application whitelisting and full disk encryption.
  • Provide Level 3 (L3) support for client environment issues.
  • Respond to escalations for issues impacting multiple users.
  • Root cause analysis of complex issues including documentation of assessment and mitigation steps with goal to prevent recurrence.
  • Documentation of all processes, new implementations, procedural improvements, and fixes for common issues.
  • Updating of Knowledge Base and SharePoint articles, training of L1 and L2 teams.
  • Work under supervision of Client Engineering manager
  • Expert knowledge of the following areas with 7+ years of experience:
  • Operating systems - Microsoft Windows (all versions) and macOS
  • Microsoft System Center Products (SCCM, SCOM, SCO)
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Application packaging (Flexera AdminStudio, InstallShield)
  • Scripting and programming (PowerShell, VBScript, C#, VB.net, Bash)
  • Platform and client virtualization technologies (VMWare vSphere, VMWare View, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft RDS, Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp)
  • Print infrastructure and management solutions (e.g. PaperCut, Presto)
  • Security platforms (e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection, System Center Endpoint Protection, BitLocker, CheckPoint Full Disk Encryption, AppLocker, Carbon Black Protection)
  • Networking (e.g TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
