Preferred:

• 6+ years of hands on recent C, C++, PL/SQL experience
• 6+ years of SQL – development with SQL concepts, NOT database administration
• 2+ years of JavaScript, JQuery, Spring framework, Java
• Lightweight web development – read and modify existing or create new basic web tools
• Unix Shell Scripting –Unix commands and shell scripts
• Telecommunications – basic telecom concepts
• Solaris and Linux – strong user skills, NOT system administration

Good to have Skills:

• Familiarity with CI/CD and following tools: Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Jira
• Knowledge of software development in DevOps and Agile
• Working knowledge of collaboration tools like Confluence
• Solid understanding of deployed Verizon Wireless networks and alarming
• Network Management experience/exposure for IP, Transmission, Switching, Transport

Basic:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 6 years of experience with Information Technology
