Experience:

Strong Amazon AWS experience with EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, and other AWS services

·       Experience with VMware ESX, backup, recovery, and clustering

·       Applied knowledge of system security and best practices

·       Active working knowledge of Bash (advanced scripting experience a plus)

·       Experience with any Subversion platform

·       SAN/NAS (NetApp)

·       Active working knowledge of OSI networking model, LDAP, routing, ARP, DNS, and VPN

·       Experience with database platforms (i.e. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Interbase, Firebird, SQLite, etc.)

·       Bachelor’s degree in related area and 3-5 years experience preferred

·       Will accept 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree

Description:

Position Objective:

This position requires an experienced Systems Administrator to implement and maintain infrastructures for COMPANY and its subsidiaries.  The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing operating systems and networks in the office as well as our data center.  Additionally, the Systems Administrator should have strong experience with Amazon AWS. As Systems Administrator, you will analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, networks, hardware, applications, and software. You will also monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
