Role and responsibilities:

• Provides technical leadership on the implementation of postgres and the design of large-scale technical solutions based on business requirements
• Architecture, installation, configuration for postgresql.
• Implement replication, high availability and disaster recovery solutions with postgres.
• Repmgr and efm tools used for high availability.
• Proficient with postgres database management tools like edb enterprise manager (pem), edb’s backup and recovery tool (bart)
• Performance tuning for databases.
• Export / import for postgresql databases.
• Oracle to postgresql migration exposure.
• Dblink from oracle to postgresql and vice versa.
• Pem monitoring tool.
• Pgbadger report for monitoring.
• Desirable to have shell scripting knowledge.
• Knowledge of ansible.
• Postgresql – audit and security.
• Experience in 24 x 7 global operations support.
• Should be flexible in working on rotational shifts, if needed. The candidate must also have great oral and written communication skills due to a high level of interaction with customers
