Detailed Job Description:

• Primary duties include Build and Deployment of the java applications onto different environments
• Experience in IT Industry with ability to accomplish all aspects of Release Management, Project Management and Software configuration management (SCM) process.
• Ability to manage SCM processes which include compiling, packaging, deploying applications and application configurations.
• Administer Jenkins/Bamboo as an auto build and deployment tool to manage and track all the automation and deployment activities.
• Automating builds using Maven, Ant, and Jenkins/Bamboo.
• Collaborate with the project team to develop and maintain an automated build, release and deployment system that will save the project man hours and reduce risk in the lower level and production environments.
• Plan and implement the rollout of new SCM tools and methodologies as part of the DevOps team
• Direct the Release/Deployment calls to collaborate with the Developers, QA and DBA teams for a successful Release.
• Implement new Devops Architecture and Strategies for Customer facing and Billing Websites.
• Extensive experience in using Version control systems includes Subversion (SVN), CVS and GIT.
• Automate dependencies in Jenkins tool to be addressed at every deployment to an environment.
• Build process automated to use NEXUS as the repository for build dependencies.
• Automat the deployment and server bounce process by creating scripts in Urban deploy.
• Use Udeploy for automating config deploys.
• Maintain configuration files for each application for build purpose and installed on different environments.
• Administer/Maintain JIRA and Confluence for our Dev and Client team.
• Expertise in using build tools like MAVEN and ANT for the building of deployable artifacts such as war & ear from source code.
• Ability of development and execution of XML, Shell Scripts and Perl Scripts. Expert in deploying the code to web application servers like Web Sphere/Web Logic/ Apache Tomcat/JBOSS.
• Experienced in Standards and procedures development, release management and CM training/advocacy.
• Expertise in trouble shooting the problems generated while building, deploying code to Production.
• Proficient in communicating effectively with good project management skills.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge on DevOps tools
• Implementation knowledge of DevOps tool
