Job Description:

• At least 8 years of experience as VMware administratorIn this role, the personnel shall be responsible for installing, upgrading VMware systems and servers, and maintaining the security and stability of the VMware environment.
• In - depth knowledge of vCenter, VROps, vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platformso Installation of ESX Servers, vSphere Client and vCenter Server.
• Create the datastore for storing VMs and data
• Deploy Virtual Machines and use Clones, Snapshots, templates
• Health Check for VMs and ESX hosto Assign LUN to ESX host
• Configure HA, use DRS, Backups, vMotion
• Manage and Upgrade Virtual Center
• Manage VM's/Build/Retireo Manage Templates and Clusters
• Plan and execute patching and upgrades
• Troubleshoot system errors
• Monitor system performance.
• Maintain system architecture security.
• Experience administering Windows or Unix systems is an added advantage.
• Ability to create scripts in Ansible, Perl, Python, and similar languages is an added advantage
• Good knowledge on enterprise network principles & devices (servers, routers, firewalls) and data center architecture.
• Experience in using troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, AppDynamics, Splunk, Densify etc
• Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting)
• Ability to support working outside of normal business hours to provide after hour or "on-call" support when necessary to solve high profile issues or complete critical path projects
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Analytical and communication skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• The job Entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
• Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
• VM ware admin required with more than 8 years of experience .
• Basic skill set needed, Perform upgrades to operating systems, Performing backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure, Maintain, upgrade, and implement improvements to the VMWare ESXi infrastructure, Troubleshoots and resolves problems and monitors system performance
