Iowa Department of Human Services is looking to replace a legacy application and has a need to interface existing mainframe systems with a new server based eligibility system.
Complete Description:
The department needs persons that can perform systems and data analysis and detail the existing CICS and Batch interfaces. Project experience evaluating mainframe and web interfaces will be key with an ability to analyze multiple systems and evaluate how they interface.
The selected candidate must have experience analyzing existing implementations with little or no documentation. They must be able build a "picture" of the existing interfaces, document this "picture", perform detailed analysis on the data elements and implemented business rules, and document this analysis for two different audiences, the first, the technical team leaders, and second, the business users. The selected candidate will be a key Technical Analyst/Developer for the team are may be used in a Development role, but prior development experience is considered a must as reading/understanding code is needed to perform good systems analysis. The selected candidate will help create business and system use cases to define the features and importance of each interface.

- Demonstrated ability of Self-motivation, self-direction, and able to work with little or no supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
