PLEASE NOTE:  This position is an ongoing role that is expected to be multiple years in length.  The initial duration is commensurate with the fiscal funding year only.

This is a position for a contractor to work for the Office of Information Technology and support the Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC). This selected candidate for this position will be responsible for supporting infrastructure (hardware and data capture) for the Genfare proprietary fare collection systems. GenFare systems are InfraRed (IR) based fare collection systems that are to be updated/collected in batch on a daily/nightly basis.

Qualified candidate can have no prior experience with Genfare, but this would be an added plus.

A qualified candidate is expected to have experience working with vendors to resolve issues and support any range of proprietary applications.

This candidate will be responsible for learning the existing system and infrastructure and working with the vendor for future updates and expansion to the system.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with proprietary hardware, database and the network infrastructure related to these types of systems.

 This is a network, hardware and proprietary system that requires a candidate that has the ability to think independently and problem solve IT systems (hardware/software) outside of a structured environment.

Skills:

Information Technology experience to include Software/Hardware Integration support
