Job Description:
The objective of this assignment is to hire an IT Strategist to conduct an IT assessment to identify an Information Technology section structure and resourcing level that best supports the agency’s needs. DCR currently has an IT staff of two, an IT Manager and an Application Developer with VITA providing infrastructure support. Comparable agencies of our size have much larger IT sections, so we are interested in an independent assessment and recommendations for an appropriate staffing level and section structure to better support the agency's mission and needs going forward.
The main deliverable from this assignment will be a report that will include but is not limited to:
+ A recommended IT section structure and resourcing levels
+ A list of positions within the recommended IT section structure with an overview of roles and responsibilities
+ Recommended major Information Technology and related processes/workflows
+ Agency business unit needs as related to Information Technology
+ A comparative analysis of like agency IT departments
Skills:
Experience in IT Strategic Planning and IT Project Planning and Implementation.
Required 10 Years
Experience in business process analysis, organizational redesign, and cost reduction/productivity improvement.
Required 10 Years
Experience as a management consultant.
Required 5 Years
Knowledge of VITA's role and scope of support for executive branch state agencies
