Roles and Responsbilities:
  • Understanding and Analyzing Business requirement documents (BRD) and Functional requirement documents (FRD) to perform high level design, low level design documents, work flows, architectural diagrams, Interface Identification, Functional flows and identification of Integrations.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Technical Design documents,UML Diagrams (Use Case, Sequence and Activities Diagrams) using Rational Rose and Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs).
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best Information Technology practices; make recommendations to improve current Informix 4GL programs and WMS processes.
  • Act as Informix SME and work closely with client managers to provide guidance regarding requests for new Informix functionalities.
  • Responsible for designing functions and related WMS applications necessary to meet business needs including Customizing warehouse solutions (Infor WMS 2000 (Dallas System, EXE) - warehouse management software to provide complex warehouse and inventory management solutions).
  • Work with cross-functional IT Teams to understand and resolve the dependencies between Infor EXE and other IT systems.
  • Lead the research and fact finding to modify, develop, implement and maintain complex company’s Warehouse Management System applications and related information systems.
  • Responsible for designing EDI interface and mapping.
  • Responsible for designing new tables, functions and stored procedures to complete the new interface.
  • Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining databases, including performance tuning, creating functions and stored procedures.
  • Responsible for designing industry standard UCC-128 labels.
  • Ensure timely documentation of new programs or changes to existing programs.
Development/Application Programming: 
  • Responsible for application programming and implementation of Infor EXE WMS (warehouse management software to provide complex warehouse and inventory management solutions) within assigned functional area/systems using Informix-4GL, C,C#,C++, UNIX shell scripts, Perl scripts, PL/SQL , IBM AIX, Linux, Oracle 12g and SQL scripts.
  • Responsible for interfacing WMS (EXE) with automated systems like Transportation, Conveyor, Voice Picking and Host.
  • Responsible for creating EDI (Electronic Data Interface) files and mapping data elements for transferring data between C&S Wholesale Grocers and its customers using Informix-4GL and C programming.
  • Responsible for creating new Infor EXE WMS screens & interfaces using Informix-4GL for upgradation of the existing Infor EXE WMS system to implement addition of new business and customer to C&S Wholesale Grocers. 
  • Responsible for creating new WMS reports and enhancing/modifying existing WMS reports (packing lists, BOLs, manifests) using Informix-4GL and C programming.
  • Responsible for creating new user reports using PL/SQL store procedures and functions.
  • Responsible for conducting code reviews and fixing the application performance issues, memory leaks by implementing multi-threading concepts and educating the team members to adhere code quality mechanisms.
  • Responsible for maintaining and using PVCS for change control, versioning of changes application files.
  • Responsible for automating Infor EXE functionalities and minimizing RF gun keystrokes using Informix-4GL and C programming for users to improve their efficiency. 
  • Responsible for creating and Implementing procedures, packages, triggers, and different Joins to retrieve the data from the database used for application programming and reporting using Oracle DB, SQL scripts. Creating DDL, DML SQL scripts used to create tables and privileges for respective tables in the database to be used for application programming.
  • Optimize SQL queries, implement joins and sub-queries to simplify complex queries in Oracle involving multiple tables, eliminate redundant and inconsistent data for performance tuning.
  • Responsible for creating new libraries and changing existing ones of Infor EXE for code reusability using C programming and Informix-4gl to accommodate the new business requirements.
  • Responsible for creating industry standard UCC-128 and UPC labels using C, Informix-4gl and SQL.
  • Responsible for setting up crontab in Linux for scheduling application related new jobs.
  • Responsible for creating new environment variables in Linux and IBM AIX and maintaining exiting ones to be used for application programming.
  • Responsible for creating scripts using SQL and Unix Shell script for production deployment.
  • Responsible for creating scripts for transferring application generated EDI files from WMS to other systems using Perl scripting, Unix Shell scripting and FTP.
System and Integration Testing:
  • Prepare test data, test plan, test strategy, test cases, test scenarios for user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • System testing of the all the Infor EXE WMS functionalities to ensure the new changes are not impacting any of the existing functionalities.
  • Integration testing with other IT teams to make sure that the new interface (EDI) file is successfully received and loaded at their end.
UAT Support: 
  • Troubleshoot program issues and interface with appropriate IT sub-departments and cross functional business areas to create and provide detailed application/system information to resolve any issues.
  • Understand Infor EXE system issues, analyse and provide permanent solutions.
  • Responsible to determine the root cause of the EXE system issues and work with the appropriate areas to reduce the reoccurring outages.
Release and Warranty Support: 
  • Troubleshooting, support and provide quick turnaround as a tier-1 support for go live production issues of Infor EXE.
  • Provide end-user training.
  • Responsible for Production readiness and Post –production support, maintenance and warranty support.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field or a foreign equivalent is required closely related field with relevant experience
