Scope of Work:

With general guidance and coaching, participates in design, development and implementation of specific new and emerging technologies, platforms and services.  You will assist in the assessment of technical viability of new products and technologies.  You will work with developers and infrastructure specialists to pilot and evaluate new technologies.  You will participate in development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures.  You must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.  Significant creativity is required.  A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Job Description:

The desired candidate will coordinate and lead activities of testing including system, integration, regression, end-to-end and performance testing of complex programs/projects. The candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work with little or no supervision.  Requires leading the testing of new applications and coordinate all testing activities. Determines testing strategies and provides testing resource estimations and consulting to project teams. Documents and assists in the resolution of complex problems and issues. The position will also include working with external vendors, business and technical resources to analyze problems encountered in testing and determining changes required to correct problems.


Extensive creativity is required across areas of expertise.  A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required.  A minimum of 10 years of related experience is preferred.  A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.


Required Skills:

·      Extensive experience in leading complex projects and programs with division or company wide scope.

·      Strong skills required in communications, leadership, presentations to senior management, problem-solving, project management, team development and organization.

·      A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science, or 5+ years related work experience required

·      Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading team of QA Testers.

·      Minimum 5+ years of web, client server application testing experience.

·      Minimum of 2+ years of Rational Quality Manager

·      Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes while maintaining urgency in completing assigned tasks.

·      Ability to convert requirements documents (Business Requirements, Functional Requirements and Technical Requirements) into test strategies/plans, test scenarios and test cases, including appropriate SQL scripts to execute testing cases.

·      Experience and ability to participate in test planning, coordination and resource estimation for the project.

·      Prepare and manage test schedule, resources with project development schedule

·      Should be able to coordinate with internal and external teams.

·      Propose testing best practices across clients/industry to strengthen testing methodology

·      Successful teamwork experience & demonstrated leadership abilities

·      Solid understanding of relational database concepts, SQL and procedural SQL

·      Will be responsible for explaining and validating test results to peers as well as clients.

·      Must be able to question the work of others to ensure accuracy and be able to defend theories and methodologies used to create individual results.

·      Strong executive presence and ability to interact with top executives

·      Solid time management skills with emphasis on multi-tasking

'Nice To Have' Skills:

·      Prior Health Care industry experience is a plus.

·      Understanding of concepts of Performance testing and Load Testing

·      Prior experience with Agile Projects is a plus.

·      Prior working experience of Rational Tools is a plus.
