Complete Description:

The Office of Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is undertaking a project to convert the legacy Federal Police Pension and Payroll System (PAPS) to PeopleSoft HCM Payroll version 9.0.    OCTO is seeking a Cobol Programmer to augment staff supporting legacy financial systems and provide data conversion support to the Project Team.The Cobol Programmer work activities may Include the following work task activities and deliverables:

Meet with Pension Functional Lead, PAPS legacy Technical Lead and relevant Subject Matter Experts to review information regarding current PAPS legacy system (source for data conversion) and business processes

Work with users to define and document requirements

Assist and document legacy data file analysis  data mapping and conversion activities

Perform data extracts

Develop, Design and Test financial applications in a mainframe environment

Perform COBOL coding

Create test cases and conduct unit testing

Update and maintain existing system related documentation

Perform quality audits

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
