Complete Description:

Office of the Chief Technology officer seeks to hire a highly talented Business Analyst to work on various agency IT initiatives.

 

The Business Analyst shall :

 

Meets with customer to analyze needs, identify risks, propose designs, and creates detailed system requirements documentation.

 

 

Works with various District agencies to document current applications in depth, determine business processes to be supported with current application, which need upgrades or new modules, which can be combined, and which can be replaced.

 

Analyze data to improve security, risk management, and integrity.

Interview business users to understand manual business processes and document work flows for automation using existing software systems or through customized imlementations.

 

Maintain current status of all applications and work related to OCTO and other supported agencies. Work with agency staff to create Statements of Work to provide technology solutions. Assist in vendor software evaluations; make recommendations on particular off-the-shelf products; building applications in house, and using non-technology solutions.

 

Work in close collaboration with developers  and testers in a fast paced deliverable driven environment to facilitate accurate translation of business requirements to IT solutions.

 

Perform requirements walkthrough with business users, developers and testers to aid in various SDLC phases.

 

Review defects and work with testers and developers to classify and adress as appropriate.

 

Conduct Deliverable reviews independently with the development team as well as the client, conduct demos and training sessions for clients.

 

Excellent documentation, communication and presentation skills.
