Short Description:

This DBA is a heavy Oracle Programmer for a technical development effort with primary responsibility to ensure programming development to support AVR for Hippocrates using Oracle and  Java technology products.

 

Complete Description:

Must possess strong skills in object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation (using UML), with active involvement in all phases of project life cycle. Quickly understands functional and technical aspects of software development projects and offer excellent communication skills.  Experience with developing web enabled State health emergency preparedness and response applications a strong plus and/or experience developing NJ State enterprise web applications. Must be a team player.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential. 

 

Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus

 

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

 

Role Description:

The programmer will function as a team member to enhance the existing Hippocrates modules including enhancements to the incident managment and security and communicaiton channels modules within Hippocrates.  Document all work.  Contribute toward user/training guide materials. Particpate in design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.

 

Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team. Develop contingency plans as necessary.

 

Apply specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer objectives.
