Job Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration and administration of Cognos Analytics.
• Work with members of the client Enterprise BI Platform team to ensure optimization of the IT infrastructure and services to deliver enterprise-level application availability and performance while optimizing cost efficiency.
• Develop complex tools and processes in the support of continuity management. Executes tests for system continuity.
• Design, test, and implement monitoring tools and processes.
• Develop solutions for collection of application metrics and perform analysis and action plans to achieve near 100% uptime and maximize platform stability and performance.
• Performs complex work to install Cloud-based infrastructure and software taking proactive steps to assure success.
• Devises process and procedure for applying and maintaining security settings and user access based on technology platform. Recommends improvements as indicated based on analysis of current techniques and perceived imperfections.

Detailed Job Description:

• The engagement is designed with the objective to set up a resource clients Cognos team.
• As part of the engagement, candidate will take up multiple lines of work primarily but not limited to the areas mentioned below:
• Install and Configure Cognos Analytics, including version 11 (any dot release) and future versions as required, in 1-Tier and N-Tier Distributed Environment End to End implementation for multiple systems such as Production, Quality, Development, Sandbox, Lab and Training Environments;
• Install and Configure Hotsites, Fix packs and Patches in Cognos; POC on new versions of Cognos Analytics software , setting up a Lab environment and doing R&D to identify the risk factors for the new version upgrade; R&D on existing systems and proposing better solutions for new environment setups and doing the Capacity planning of the Cognos systems as per the new Cognos Software.
