Our client  is looking for a Software Quality Assurance engineer to assist with effective testing of a non-destructive testing instrument and its associated software.  The instrument contains an embedded PC to run the operating software.  There is also a standalone PC application related that will be part of the testing job.

Required Skills

Familiarity with disciplined test definition, test execution and defect tracking processes

Experience with test definition and defect tracking software (HP Quality Center experience a plus)

Organized and methodical thinker

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Skilled in use of common MS Office software, particularly Excel

Ability to design and execute test cases to verify instrument operation based on requirements documents or Agile user stories

Ability to work interactively with a software development team to refine test definitions

Ability to learn the basics of the use of the instrument for non-destructive testing

Desired Skills (not required, but a plus):

Experience developing automated software tests

Experience working with networked (Ethernet and WiFi) connected devices

Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Qt

Experience operating basic electronic test equipment such as signal generators and oscilloscopes

Experience as part of an Agile development team

Experience working as part of a globally distributed team

Background & Experience

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent software field

Two or more years of experience in Test Driven Development
