Short Description:

 

The candidate’s main project will be the ODNR Division of Wildlife’s Intranet site.  A secondary project would include work on the Internet site.   The candidate will be asked to build, design, train, modify, and provide maintenance to the two sites.

 

Complete Description:

The candidate will work to complete Phase III of the ODNR Division of Wildlife’s Intranet site.  The candidate’s tasks will include the building, designing, training, modifications, and maintenance of the Intranet site.  The candidate will need experience working with SharePoint software to build and design an Intranet.   They must be proficient in SharePoint software, DotNetNuke software, Camtasia, Final Cut Pro or Windows Media Maker, Vimeo, and Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, etc.).  They must also be proficient in proofreading and editing. Have a working knowledge of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and content management systems along with a working knowledge of best practices of Intranet design.

The Scope of work includes: 

1.            Update the Intranet site with existing policies, procedures, documents, spreadsheets, media, and databases that employees use – this will be done via the guidance of wireframes and a site map included in the Intranet Site Plan with instruction from DEPARTMENT Liaison. Create graphics as needed in designing page. Create Web pages as needed in DotNetNuke. Perform regular maintenance of the Intranet. Ensure that the search function and all modules of the site are working efficiently.

2.            Work with all sections of the Division to obtain documents, spreadsheets, media, and databases for placement and organization on the Intranet. Proofread and edit all content.

3.            Using SharePoint software, populate, design, and organize the Intranet to include developing internal resources and information not currently in existence, including but not limited to:

a.            employee directory

b.            collaboration tools

c.             tutorials

d.            media libraries and archives

e.            FAQs

4.            Provide to employees an explanation or tutorial of how to use different features of the Intranet site. Answer questions from employees and provide help as they begin using the site. Gather feedback from employees on the site’s usability. Modify the site as necessary based on feedback, using discretion and following best practices.
