RESPONSIBILITIES 

§  Under general direction, responsible for supporting complex application and system modification projects using a formal project management methodology. 

§  Ownership and maintenance of highly complex work plans with internal and external dependencies.

§  Ability to access complex changes and apply to work plans with precision and timeliness.

§  Develops detailed work plans and schedules using MS Project.

§  Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule.

§  Performs complete range of administrative duties utilizing appropriate PC applications to prepare and compose correspondence, status reports, agendas, minutes, and financial data in an accurate manner.

§  Coordination and facilitation of Issues, Risks, and Action Log Management.

§  Establish Project level Library and maintenance of deliverable repository.

§  Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Top Three Skills/Experience

§  MS Project workplan development and maintenance including:

§  Adherence to program agreed to workplan standards

§  Coordination and tracking of inter-dependent milestones and deliverables

§  Establish and maintain predecessor and successor relationships

§  Generate change requests for phase and milestone changes

§  Facilitate release plan specific workplan maintenance

§  Management of weekly Scorecard reporting

§  Proven experience supporting large project teams and sub teams

III.            Proficient in formal project management methodologies

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  §   Minimum 3 years supporting large IT projects.

  §   High proficiency (expert-level) in the use of MS-Project, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  §   Strong organizational and follow-through skills, and particularly strong attention to detail.

  §   Demonstrated flexibility, self-discipline and ability to work independently, as well as within a group.

  §   Ability to handle multiple tasks and timeframes.

  §   Experience in the financial aspects of a project, (estimation, forecasting, etc.)

  §   Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills.

  §   Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  §   Knowledge of SharePoint

  §   Bachelors degree.
