Detailed Job Description:

• Expert in various Database migration scenarios
• Experience in Cloud support and migrations
• Expert in Database installs, upgrades, and patching
• Efficiently carry out BAU (day to day) DBA responsibilities
• Experience in Capacity Planning
• Provide technical support to application development teams, Application DB release changes, Backout process
• Experience with Physical Database design
• Well versed in Oracle Performance Tuning (P&T)
• supporting Postgres databases in a high volume, customer-facing environment
• Experience in optimizing and performance tuning of Postgres including drill-down analysis
• Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting replication
• Pro-active and Reactive monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) (Synthetic Monitoring)
• Troubleshooting Skills (process, scripts, commands) to quickly identify and resolve issues
• Oracle Security, Audit and security compliance
• Storage technologies and Networking
• Scripting (Shell, PL/SQL, Python)
• Good understanding of ITIL (Release Management, Change Management, Crisis Management, etc)
• Strong Linux/Unix skills
• AWS Managing databases running in EC2/RDS
• Good understanding of DevOps, DB release automation for DevOps
• Oracle Support process
• Terraform, Jenkins, Sourcetree, YAML
• Experience with cloud automation
• Good documentation skills
• Inter-personal skills required:
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
