Application systems architect will be involved in developing the solution architectures for DC's Affordable Housing Data Management systems. They will document hardware, software, tools, languages, and databases to be utilized to deliver solution architectures for DC's affordable Housing Data Management System. They will document the architecture from an enterprise perspective to show all data, applications, hardware, and user interactions. They will oversee the implementation of software applications necessary to meet the Affordable Housing Data Management's business requirements. This can include packaged application customization, custom application development and well as multi-systems integration. They typically work with other architects and developers as a leader developing solutions that provide capabilities to technical teams as well as the end user/customers. This position can require significant expertise in applicable and various development technologies such as .net, J2EE and experience with platforms such as Windows and Unix/Linux. Prior experience as a programmer/analyst and thorough knowledge of the SDLC and common tools and utilities such as Enterprise Architecture are required. - must be expert in this area.
