Position Description:

Sr. Java Architect/Developer with extensive knowledge and experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting complex enterprise level applications and other system software using SOA principles, Java message service applications, database concepts,  and superior oral and written communications skills to effectively convey progress, issues, reports, and other customer deliverables with clarity and value. Works with minimum technical oversight, and possibly as the leader of a team.

Skills Requirements:

Required:

1)     Struts 1.2, Struts 2, Hibernate, JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery, JPA, DB2, RAD and Knowledge of 508.

2)     11+ years IT Software development experience in Java.

3)     Superior communication skills to articulate and present ideas and concepts effectively.

4)     Exceptional and proven problem solving skills.

5)    Experience working with IBM Web Sphere Application server.

6)    Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.

Desired:

1)     Experience working with deployment scripts - server build, installs, etc.

2)     Ability to independently and rapidly learn new technology, as needed.

3)     Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.

4)    US citizen preferred.

Education:

BS Computer Science or related.
