The selected candidate is responsible for enterprise-level software validation/testing. He/she works with minimum technical oversight and is regarded as an expert.
Performs the following job duties:
- Performs and executes software validation/testing efforts for large-scale development projects.
-Develops test cases for primarily automated functional testing.
- Assists in developing and conducting stress and performance tests.
-Prepares status reports and presentations.
-Attends client meetings, requirements gathering sessions, validation meetings to document and transcribe accurate meeting minutes.
-Candidate should be able to adapt to a changing environment.
-Solid technical experience with software validation and requirements analysis efforts for large scale successful SOA based IT system implementations.
-Testing Web Services using SOAPUI (Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface) by creating new test cases and synchronizing them in QC. Experience with working on applications built in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment.
- The candidate should possess current, hands-on experience with Quick Test Professional (QTP) and WinRunner or similar products.
-The position requires expert knowledge in designing, implementing and maintaining software test automation frameworks/solutions, experience with automation scripting languages, experience with developing and implementing automated testing standards and guidelines, experience with test data preparation, experience with Test management tools such as Quality Center/TestDirector.
-Experience with manual systems integration and back end testing on a wide variety of projects and environments is required.
Mapping requirements to test cases and the ability to come-up with ideas to enhance the existing process.
- RDBMS skills (prefer DB2 experience).
- Participation in the design and development of automated implementations of tests using appropriate test harness.
- Complex build processes integrated with automated testing and QA reporting.
-Experience with developing, documenting and implementing complex multi-program data driven functional/regression test strategies using QTP is required.
-Ability to develop, write and implement test plans, record and track defects and prepare test management reports is required.
-Experience with relational databases and SQL for retrieving, updating, and inserting information into databases is required.
-Ability to navigate in a Windows workstation setting, plus good knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is expected.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidate should be able to effectively interact with all levels of customer staff, and be able to flourish in a contract setting.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years of professional experience; or 9 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Minimum experience and education: Candidates must have a BS degree with a minimum of 11 years work experience or 132 months of work experience. With a Masters degree 9 years work experience or 108 months of work experience.
