Leads customer engagement to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects. Manages corporate, customer and third party vendor efforts to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems. Responsible for business as well as team management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

5+ years work experience managing project teams and applying advanced project management activities to one or more healthcare technical solutions functional areas. 

5 years work experience leading computer systems application development projects. 

2 years HealthCare Industry work experience. 

3 years work experience utilizing the software development life cycle 

PMP Certified. 
Certification PM 
Good communication skills. 

Job Specific Skills/Special Functions: 

Authority to track the project plans for progress (task, resources), issues and risks with PMO schedulers, PM and teams. 

Participates in requirement definition activities/clarifications and translates into new project delivery plans or existing implementation plans 

Participate in requirement (Change Requests) sessions with the client and business analysts. 

Coordinate the review and closure of all change requests with the PMO change manager and client. 

Provide input into the project plans based on the approved change requests. 

Monitor the project tem(s) tasks in the project plan and provide input to the Project Manager. 

Identify, analyze, assess and monitor risk mitigation plans. 

Attend risk review meetings and provide input on each projects risks. 

Identify, assess, monitor and close out project issues. 

Healthcare/Medicaid experience managing projects is required. 

Understanding of Medicaid business is essential in being able to effectively communicate with our clients as we build systems to support their business.

Ability to read our clients RFP/Requirements, read our Proposal, understand our technical solution, and effectively manage scope, and follow change control processes for out of scope work. 

Ability to provide clear, concise status updates weekly for the area of the project they oversee. 

Experience leading teams in a specific set of functional areas is required, as each PM will oversee multiple functional area teams delivering subsystem specific customizations and configurations to our baseline MMIS to meet requirements. 

Ability to manage defect resolution work to prioritize and close out defects found in the code. 

Ability to support the creation and review of Project Management Deliverables (Project Plan Components) to be submitted, reviewed, tracked, and approved by our clients to earn payment for services. 

Experience using HP Project and Portfolio Manager is a plus to manage project schedules, issues, risks, scope changes, resource pools, and time tracking. 


Experience using MS-Excel to analyze detailed project metrics and make informed decisions on how to prioritize and manage the teams activities is essential. 

Works on complex projects where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of multiple factors. 

Delivers projects affecting one or two client divisions. 

Coordinates and integrates the work efforts and deliverables of a large multi-function, multivendor project team. Project is normally within a single region. 

Manages projects with aggressive but achievable client deadlines.
